Square

  • Square 

     

    The square is a tool used to check for 90-degree angles. We will be using it to make sure our corners are square and that the machines are set up to get a square cut. The types of squares we will be using are the Try Square, Rafter Square and the Framing Square. The Framing Square is not pictured but it is easily recognized because it is the largest of the squares. See the picture below to identify the other types of squares. The Try Square is silver with a black handle. The Rafter Square, sometimes called a speed square, is bright orange.
