The Mallet

  • The Mallet

The mallet is used like a hammer, except it is not used to pound nails. It is used when we need to apply a force to our project to align a part or drive a wooden peg. The objective of a mallet is apply a hard blow to an object without causing any damage or leaving a mark. We have two kinds of mallets. A basic wooden mallet is for assembly, chiseling and aligning, and the dead blow mallet, used strictly in assembly. The dead blow mallet is filled with B-B's so that a great force can be applied through the theory of physics. The dead blow mallet is orange in the picture below.
