Screwdrivers
We are going to use two types of screwdrivers in the shop: the slotted or standard screwdriver and the Phillips head screwdriver. Contrary to popular belief, the screwdriver is not a chisel or prying tool. The screwdriver below, with the gold stripe, is the Phillips head, the bottom screwdriver is the slotted or standard screwdriver.
To properly drive a screw, a pilot hole should be made that is slightly smaller than the screw. Next, a small amount of wax should be applied to the screw. The proper size screwdriver should be selected for the size of the screw you are using. While applying downward pressure, the screwdriver should be turned in a clockwise direction.
