Congratulations to our girls’ lacrosse team as they defeated Stow 22-4 Friday night and Cleveland Heights 10-9 last night to reach the Regional Finals and are one win away from a state final-four appearance. The Lady Bears will play Hudson on Thursday at a location and time yet to be determined.
Good luck to our varsity tennis team as they will play University School today in the Regional final match of the OTCA tournament starting at 5:00. Over the weekend in the individual OHSAA tournament, singles player Cyprien Voisvenel and the doubles team of Alex Drewes and Bobby Thomas qualified for this weekend’s state tournament in Mason.
Congratulations to our baseball team as they defeated Lake Center Christian 10-0 Saturday night. The Bears will play Lake in the District semifinals this afternoon starting at 2:00 at Hoover High School.
Congratulation to our boys’ track team as they were champions of the District track meet held at Hoover Friday night. Numerous boys and girls track athletes qualified for the Regional meet to be held at Austintown Fitch HS tomorrow and Friday.
Good luck to our boys’ volleyball team as they will play Brecksville at home in the main gym tomorrow night in the Regional semi-finals starting at 7:30.
Sports physicals for next year will be given at the high school next Wednesday May 29th from 2:00-4:00. Cost is $10 and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. The 2019-2020 physical form needs to be printed from the OHSAA or Jackson Local Schools website and the preliminary information must be completed and signed prior to coming in for the physical.
Football helmet handout will take place this Friday, May 24th in the equipment cage. Juniors with early dismissal report at 1:45 pm, remaining juniors and sophomores report at 2:35 pm, and freshmen report at 3:10 pm. You must be in good standing academically and with the football program in order to receive your helmet. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Budd.
