Señora Dria

¡Hola! Welcome to my webpage. I am thrilled to be your son/ daughter's Spanish teacher this year. I enjoy spending my days teaching students about the Spanish language and culture. I have an enourmous passion for what I do, so I consider myself lucky to call teaching my full-time job. I have worked at Jackson High School since 2005.

Here is a little bit of background information about me...

I was born in Canton, Ohio but I was raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I lived there until the age of sixteen/seventeen. Argentina will always have a special place in my heart. Part of my family still lives in Buenos Aires and I have to admit that I miss them terribly! Argentina is an amazing country and Buenos Aires is a beautiful city.

For 12 years I attended St. Peter's school, a private bilingual school. At the age of four I began studying English and Spanish. Later on, I began to study French. I graduated from Ashland University with a degree in Spanish and French and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction.

I am happily married and my husband teaches agri-science at the high school as well. We have two wonderful sons. We all live in Jackson Township and are very involved with our community. In our spare time we love to travel, cook and spend time outdoors as a family.
