Welcome to JAGS English!

This sophomore-level course focuses on American literature and aligns major historical concepts through the study of novels, short stories, poetry, drama and a variety of nonfiction selections with a distinct global focus to gain a better understanding of our past, present and future as global citizens.  Students will continue to improve their reading, speaking and listening skills and will write in a variety of styles using specific writing formats as a base that they can later expand upon. Students will be engaged in problem-based learning to further their critical thinking skills and to further their development of becoming a strong, global leader.
