Construction Tech Homepage
Welcome to Mr. Clevengers' Construction Tech main page.
Welcome back class of 2020 and 2021. We are starting another year in Construction Technology.
The junior class will begin the year learning the basics of layout, masonry, framing, siding and roofing. Their junior year project is what we in the class call a "module". A module is a 8x12 building that has the same floor, wall and roof framing of a typical new home. The students are divided into teams of 3-4 and over the course of the year complete the module. We finish them off by installing a steel rolling garage door and moving them out of the back door of our shop. They have the added bonus of being sold to anyone needing an outdoor storage building.
These would work great for a home storage building or playhouse, hunting blind, or as an athletic storage facility (just ask the tennis team and lacrosse team). We will build 4 in the shop that will be ready at the end of May 2020 by the junior class, however if you need one quicker, the senior class can build them here and have them ready in about 3 weeks. Call for pricing and details.
Additionally we have made contact with an outside moving company that can move these buildings to your site for a very reasonable price.
Along with learning all the basic skills needed to excel in the senior year of the program, the juniors will also be earning their OSHA 10 Safety Certification, an industry wide credential needed at even the entry level of the trades as well as a requirement for the senior year of the program.
