Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Mast

I was born and grew up in the Medina area. I come from a family heavily involved in education. My mom works in Brunswick City Schools and my sister and brother-in-law are both teachers in Pennsylvania. In 2002, I graduated from Medina High School. I graduated from Cedarville University in May of 2006 with my bachelors degree and in 2011 I graduated from Brooklyn College with a Masters degree in Special Education. I taught for two years in Brooklyn, New York and this is my first year at Jackson.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Sara, 3 year old son, Carson, and our dog Joey. We have a lot of fun together biking, hiking, playing with toy cars and trains and hanging out in the backyard together. I enjoy working on a variety of woodworking and house projects. I like figuring out how things work and how to make them better. I have found that I use Math skills a lot in my projects and have found that it is always better to measure twice and cut once! Double checking your math is very important!
