Small Group Instruction

One of the changes you may notice this year is that your child will be working in small, collaborative style groups. These groups will help students learn how to work through challenging concepts, how to guide themselves when stuck, learn important critical thinking and problem solving skills, and finally, it gives the teachers a chance to truly evaluate and direct your child's learning to truly meet all of their needs by working with them on more of a one on one basis. 

This means in language arts class this year there will be a lot less whole class learning and more small group, independent learning that will be facilitated, supported, and guided by the teachers which allows for teachers to personalize your child's education.
