    Dear Parents and Students,

It is hard to believe that we are leaving for Thanksgiving break. Unfortunately, school, our celebrations, and our lives look very different this year. I am just grateful that we have been able to be in school up until now. When the kids are remote, please make sure they are looking at the Week at a Glance. There are specific lessons and they are organized daily. Many of the WAAGS have links included so that the students just have to click on the link to get to the assignment.

Also, be familiar with Polaris. Each nine weeks, go to that nine weeks folder (now we are using the 2nd marking period). After that, you will go to the standard the students are working on like Literary Elements, Theme, Plot, etc. If you cannot find an assignment, you can also go to the search bar in Polaris and type it in. Finally, you can also open the grading tab and find all assignments there. If you still cannot find an assignment, please email, or due to the Pandemic, Mrs. Kerr, Mrs. Clapper, Mrs. Gernert and I are all aligned, so phone a friend!

While remote, we will attempt to Google Meet often, but if your child needs a private meeting, please email and I will make that happen. Please stay in touch, and if you ever have questions or concerns, do not hesitate to call or email.

    Other Important Information

Parents and students, please check Sunguard weekly to make sure all assignments are turned in. Be aware that an empty box in the gradebook (for my class), means the assignment is not graded.

An "X" means the grade is TEMPORARILY exempt, but the student will need to make up that assignment. The "X" is usually allotted for absent work.

If your child has a "Z", the work is missing or on the "No Name" wall. The assignment is currently a zero, so the student will need to see me as soon as possible about a "Z" code.

Also, please check POLARIS to see details about an assignment and check the 6A Homework Calendar daily. After that, if you have a question or concern, please feel free to give me a call or send an email. Have a wonderful day!

And remember our school motto:  RISE TO THE CHALLENGE!
