Dear Parents and Students,

Hello and welcome to JMMS and 6th grade language arts! I am Mrs. Mastroine and I have been teaching for 27 years. I love my job and the kids, so every day is a new adventure. To begin, there are three things that are really important; Polaris, the Week at a Glance, and the Home Access Center. 

Polaris - Most assignments, parent information and important due dates are in Polaris. Please look at the Week at a Glance for daily assignments and due dates.

Home Access Center (Sungard) - This year, the students accessed HAC in their language arts classes. If you have any questions, please call Ms. Swalve in Student Services (330-830-8034 EXT 3407) for assistance.

When you are viewing the grades, please note that an "X" means the grade is TEMPORARILY exempt, but the student will need to make up that assignment. The "X" is usually allotted for absent work.

If your child has a "Z", the work is missing or on the "No Name" wall. The assignment is currently a zero, so the student will need to see me as soon as possible about a "Z" code. A blank box indicates the assignment has not yet been graded. Finally, I will have NO grades in Polaris. My grades are in our Home Access Center.
