Mr. Waltman graduated from John Carroll University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 1991 and earned his teaching certificate from Ashland University in 1994.  Mr. Waltman earned a Master’s Degree from Kent State University in 2004 and later earned his principal’s license in 2005. Mr. Waltman has 26 years of experience teaching and working with students in grades 6-12. He was an educational assistant at Jackson High school for 3 years before coming to Jackson Memorial Middle School in 1997.

In 1997, Mr. Waltman began teaching 8th Grade American History at JMMS, teaching and coaching for 8 years. In 2004, he began his career in Administration as Cadet Assistant Principal and took on the role of Assistant Principal a year later. He has held that position for the past 18 years.

Mr. Waltman is a member of the Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators.

He is married to Susanne and they are proud parents of Aaron.
