"Fundations" is an intensive phonics based program that teaches children spelling rulesso they can figure out words when reading or how to spell them. Below you will findsome useful information that could help your child. Please let me know if you have anyquestions!Check out Spelling City or the files below for extra practice!I will create a list of words for each unit that includes trick words and wordsthat follow the "rules" we are learning. Children can practice these words bymarking them and finding the different types of sounds.

Practice marking your words! Think about the sounds you hear...do you hear glued sounds, blends, digraphs, or trigraphs? How do you mark these in a word? Is it a closed syllable? An exception closed syllable?
