All About Mrs. Shaffer
I was born and raised in Massillon, Ohio. I went to St. Barbara School K-8, then graduated high school from Washington High (Massillon) in 2003. I graduated from Kent State University in 2007 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. In 2011, I graduated from Ashland University with my Master's Degree in Education. It's hard to believe that this will be my 16th year teaching first grade at Sauder. The years have flown by! Each year has brought new lessons, experiences, and challenges, and it has been amazing to watch each child learn and grow so much in the short time we are together.
I love my school family, but nothing compares to my family at home! My husband Mike and I have been married for 11 years. Our daughter Emma is in 4th grade and our son Micah is in 2nd grade at Sauder this year. We stay very busy with sports year-round! We also had a busy summer training our puppy, Mack. He is an English Mastiff, so he will soon be a very big dog. I can't wait to tell you all about his adventures!
