I believe family time and utilizing the weekends to relax and recharge from the work week is a necessity. Although, your child will have weekly/nightly homework to practice important skills, their time with you and their siblings is important. Please communicate with me if you believe your child is spending more than the average amount of time on homework each night/week. I will do my very best to never give homework over the weekend so that ample family time can be given for you to create long lasting memories with your kids! At times, there might be makeup work or a project that will be given over the weekend to wrap up. 

As a parent, I realize last minute things come up, morning issues arise, late nights happen, and unexpected circumstances occur. Please communicate with me so that I can help aid you when things happen unexpectedly. You can let me know in a note, e-mail, or via phone call. We will solve issues together, give extended time on homework, or problem solve as needed. 

Thank you for being understanding, flexible, and compassionate towards unforeseen circumstances at school that result in occassional last minute changes. I appreciate your patience and understanding when I cannot be at school due to a family matter. I look forward to a successful school year working alongside you and with your children!
