Mission

The Mission of The Learning Commons is to be a center of learning that extends and supports the work in the classroom. We provide multifunctional spaces that facilitate studying, researching, meeting, creating, collaborating, and sharing of final student projects and assignments. The Learning Commons has three main branches: The JHS Library, The Writing Center and the Guided Study Hall.

TLC Services

Students may visit The Learning Commons any time before or after school. Students may also visit during any study hall or lunch period with a pass from a classroom teacher.

Computer Use and Printing

 Students can visit TLC to use one of our 47 computers. The JHS Acceptable Use Policy applies; students may use school computers for school work only. Students may also print any school related work.

BYOD 

Please see Mrs. Wolfe if you are experiencing connection issues with BYOD.

Testing

Students take quiz and test retakes in TLC. Always get a pass from your teacher and report directly to TLC for tests and quizzes.

Laminating and Poster Services

 Students may use our poster printing and laminating services for a fee. Please contact Mrs. Williams to use this service and see a list of fees.

Guided Study Hall

In TLC Guided Study Hall, students can get any assistance they need with school work. If you have study hall in a different location in the building and would like to join the Guided Study Hall, please see your Guidance Counselor in the Student Services Office.
