Voters in the Jackson Local School District elected Lia Jones to the Board of Education in November 2021. 

She graduated from Denison University with a bachelor of arts degree in communication. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law. 

Jones is a senior vice president and senior fiduciary strategist with Key Private Bank, where she proactively advises clients on sophisticated estate, trust and charitable giving strategies to address their unique financial objectives. Before joining KeyBank, Jones was the executive director of The University of Akron’s Center for Gift and Estate Planning.

In addition to her work on the JLSD Board of Education, Jones is a member of the Akron Symphony Board of Directors and serves on several advisory boards. She was the 2018 recipient of the 30 for the Future Award, presented by the Greater Akron Chamber.

Jones lives in Jackson Township with her husband, Caleb, and their daughters, Elle and Olivia.
