Amherst Elementary

We use a program called Into Math to guide our math instruction. We use a combination of whole group instruction, small groups, and technology to teach various math concepts and skills. Throughout the year, we will cover simple addition and subtraction, double digit addition and subtraction, numbers up to 120, telling time, comparing numbers, 2D shapes, 3D shapes, graphing, and more. It is important to review skills throughout the year after it has been taught. All previously taught skills will be assessed each nine weeks to form the students' cumulative grade for that standard.
