The new Online assessments start this year. The OTELA paper test is being replaced by OELPA, and is fully online. All students must participate. Like in OTELA there are four domains - reading writing, listening, and speaking.
Ohio Achievement tests are developed by American Institute for Resesearch (AIR). the different aspects of the test from previous tests is that it is also online, with paper and pencil versions available. There is no one year (180) day exemption for new students. However, the scores of students enrolled fewer than two years in US schools will not count against their annual measurable achievement objective.
New students have translators available, and as usual, dictionary and extended time of up to one school day.
