Meet Miss Young... 

My name is Jessica Young and I am from Canton, Ohio.  I have taught Kindergarten at Amherst Elementary for 9 years. I am certified to teach grades Pre K through 3rd and have completed my Masters Degree in Administration and now have my Principal License. 

 Over the last several years, I have gained valuable experience with children both in my work and volunteer experiences. In addition to having my own classroom, I also have worked for the Jackson Township Parks & Recreation Department as the Program Coordinator for children’s summer programs.  I have also been involved in summer and after school tutoring and have volunteered at community events.

A few of my interests include my love for travel (as I studied abroad in England for a semester while completing my Undergraduate at Baldwin-Wallace College), spending time with friends and family, hiking, and watching my CAVS and Buckeyes!  

I believe that each child should be actively involved  in his or her education and should feel successful in doing so. I look forward to creating meaningful experiences that achieve this for each student!
