My main goal as a School Counselor is to get to know every child! Sounds impossible, but it is not! I am out and about building, and building that rapport with students in the hallways, recess, lunch, specials, etc.
I also want to help your child have a successful school year - both socially and academically!
I visit each classroom several times a year, so all the students know who I am and my job. My goal is for students to be excited to come and see me in my office and feel comfortable! I always remind them that they are not in "trouble" and do not have to always have a "problem" to come see me!
I want students to feel safe and comfortable talking with me in a confidential setting. Since I meet with so many students each week, I do not contact every parent. However, if I feel it is important that your child comes to see me, you will be notified.
