Mrs. Susanne Waltman graduated summa cum laude from the University of Akron in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education. She has seventeen years experience teaching students in first through fifth grade. Mrs. Waltman earned her Masters of Administration degree from Ashland University in 1995 and completed her principal licensure program in 2004. She began her administrative career as a Dean of Students at Strausser Elementary in 2007. In 2009, Mrs. Waltman accepted the building principal position at Strausser Elementary.
Mrs. Waltman has served as the Zone 8 Director for the Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators since 2015. She also assists OAESA in designing and providing quality professional development for aspiring and active administrators by serving on OAESA’s Professional Learning Team.
Mrs. Waltman is married to her husband, David. They have one son who attends Jackson Local Schools.
Dean of Student's Biography
Mrs. Michelle Krieg graduated from the University of Mount Union with a Bachelor of Arts degree in middle childhood education. She earned her Masters in educational administration from Ashland University.
Mrs. Krieg taught fourth and fifth grade at Sauder Elementary for nine years. In 2012 she began serving as an Instructional Coach, providing professional development support and strategies to teachers throughout the building and district. She has been Dean of Students at Strausser Elementary since 2014.
Mrs. Krieg is a member of OAESA (Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators). She regularly continues her education by attending professional development and annual administrative conferences.
Mrs. Krieg lives in Jackson Township with her husband Ryan and their two children.
