Principal's Message

As the new principal, it is my sincere pleasure to become a member of this great community.   It is my honor to be appointed to this position and I am looking forward to working with the dedicated and caring staff, as well as the wonderful and supportive parents of Amherst.  

The staff at Amherst has many goals this school year.  One of my goals is to effectively provide assistance to Amherst staff to ensure that all students show achievement gains and develop strong character skills. Our teachers know that they have an opportunity to impact children for the rest of their lives.  We have an obligation to create memories for our students.  We want the children to realize they are capable of accomplishments they never dreamed possible.  We know that our goals need to be lofty, because the children deserve no less than our highest expectations.

Again, I just want to say that I am so proud and excited to be a part of the Amherst community because of the great people I get to work with.
