First Grade is an important year for students. It is an exciting year, with a lot of fun, learning and individual growth. This is the year that your child will learn many important skills. Throughout the year, your child will be practicing sight words which are linked to reading levels. As the year progresses, the words will become harder. Along with practicing sight words, we will also discuss comprehending what we read. Please reinforce the skills from the classroom and your child's Homeroom teacher at home.
