Jackson Local School District hits energy goal, again
The Jackson Local School District, in conjunction with our energy management consultant NRG, took part in a bi-annual Demand Response Program this afternoon. All of our buildings, including administrative offices at Jackson High School, reduced our energy footprint. That means shutting down cooling systems, lighting, using battery-operated power, where available, and other measures.
This test is conducted twice a year as a trial to deliver more resources back to the energy grid in the event of an emergency.
By conducting this test, the Jackson Local School District receives a rebate on its energy consumption, which always is top of mind for our district.
We are happy to report to our stakeholders we hit our targeted goal at every building.
The Jackson Local School District is always 'Striving for Excellence' as students are our first priority. We believe that collaboration with and among the students, staff, parents, and community is essential for continuous improvement.
