Mrs. Ferraton
Hello,
My name is Michelle Ferraton and I am a new Intervention Specialist at Lake Cable Elementary. I was born and raised in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, where I spent my first twenty-eight years. I earned a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and a Masters in Special Education from Cleveland State University.
I taught special education in Ohio for four years, before I moved to Virginia. In Virginia, I also taught special education for four years. For the past seven years I have been teaching overseas. I taught second and third grade in Turkmenistan for four years. I then relocated to Mongolia where I was an elementary resource teacher for two years. Lastly, I was an intervention specialist in Kuwait. My overseas experience has helped me develop further as a teacher, broadened my cultural awareness and brought me the chance to do extensive travel. In the seven years I was overseas, I traveled to thirty-three countries. My top three favorite countries are Bhutan, Jordan and Vietnam.
I am married to my high school sweetheart. We have been together for twenty-five years and married for sixteen. He is a high school History teacher. We enjoy traveling, baking and gardening together.
I am excited to be back in my home state of Ohio and am looking forward to teaching for the Jackson Local Schools. I look forward to working with you and your child. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email me at mkf3jc@bearworks.jackson.sparcc.org
Kind Regards,
Michelle Ferraton
