Jackson Local Schools values the diverse backgrounds of our students and families. We are committed to honoring cultural and religious traditions and ensuring all students feel respected and supported as they observe meaningful practices and holidays.
In accordance with Board Policy 5200, students are permitted up to three Religious Expression Days per school year. These days may be used to observe religious holidays or participate in other faith-based activities. You can find a non-exhaustive list of major religious holidays here.
Students approved for a Religious Expression Day will:

Not be penalized academically

Be provided reasonable accommodations for any missed classwork, tests, or participation-based activities
