    Band Alumni night

    "Past, present and future"

Band alumni, please join us once again for the football game and halftime show.  We will contact alumni via email/Facebook ONLY - please make sure we have your current email address.  Music is posted on my website.  We hope our newest class of alumni (class of 2019) will join us for this great event! It is not necessary to RSVP unless you need to borrow a school instrument (frumpet/mellophone, baritone, tuba, percussion); we will have it ready for the performance. You will see alumni music at the bottom of the page where you can view/print music. Please print basic set as well as the show tune.

We will meet at Jackson Middle School at 5:00pm (or as soon as you can arrive) and rehearse on the practice football field next to the stadium/tennis courts closest to Wales Ave. Parking will be available in the same parking lot as before – closest to Sauder Elementary.  Dress for the performance will be jeans, tennis shoes, and purple (or gold) t-shirt. Majorettes may choose to wear shorts instead of jeans.

Alumni will be our guests at the football game; we will march into the stadium as a group and have seating for alumni in the end zone with the JHS Marching Band.  Unfortunately, there will be no seating in the end zone for your family members. We will perform for halftime at the football game where we will march and play as a combined band. After our performance, feel free to catch up on old times during 3rd quarter and join in the band’s 4th quarter fun!

This is our order of performance:

    1. Traditional Jackson entry in mass (J-A-C-K-S-O-N!)

    2. Upfield march to “Mississippi Mud”/ “Hi”

    3. Concert block formation; “Crunch Time”/”Dancing Queen”/”Hey Song”

    4. Come off the field to “JHS Fight Song/Fiero”. Yeah!

Majorette alumni: please plan to bring your baton. The same upfield march to “Mississippi Mud” is used or you may do your own routines throughout the performance. Contact Annette Sylvester at 330-323-1260 about rehearsal possibilities. We hope you can come and join in the fun! (If you are unable to actually twirl, i.e. pregnancy, injury or fear of injury, please come and spend some time with us and meet majorettes from all eras!

This year you can purchase apparel commemorating the 2019 Past, Present and Future halftime show at http://stores.teeshopz.com/pastpresent/shop/home. There is more information at the bottom of this page. Order by September 6 since there will only be limited sizes of the short sleeve t-shirt available at the game. Thanks for your interest! You can email questions to umarrero@sssnet.com.

Please contact me with any questions or concerns at aes3jc@jackson.sparcc.org or 330-830-8034 x. 1456. We are looking forward to a wonderful evening of music and fun! It’s not too late to get your fellow alumni involved - just have them print their music and show up! Thanks again to our outstanding alumni for all your continued support!
