Meet Miss Shafer

  • *Meet Miss Shafer*

I was born in Canton, Ohio, and graduated from Jackson High School in 2008. Go Bears! I moved to Columbus and attended Capital University, where I graduated in 2012. It's funny how life works out, and I am feeling so thankful to spend my 7th year in Jackson.  I spent the first five years at Lake Cable, which is such a special place, full of wonderful staff. Somehow, I was lucky enough to hit the jackpot at two schools, and I am so excited for my second year teaching at Sauder! Moving buildings was an opportunity I could not pass up, and I'm feeling very blessed.

I am an only child, but I have lots of half and step siblings...11 in total! Everyone lives in Ohio, except one brother who lives in Chicago. I love getting away to visit a few times each year. I have 14 nieces and nephews, too! Being an aunt and being a teacher are among the very best jobs in the world and I am so grateful for each of them. There is never a dull moment in my family, that's for sure!
